THE LAST POWER HOUR

Hutch’s West side has officially closed it’s doors. What a special place.

Tony texted me letting me know it was going to be the last power hour and to swing by. When I got there it was quite the showing. There were a lot of diffirent people from different time periods of the shop. Some of my favorite people I worked with no longer live in Bend so I didnt get to see them.

Kyle and Greg were who I spent the most time with while I was there for the power hour. Tony was still working - bikes were flying out the door. The shot I got of tony doing an “OTD” (out the door) felt like a fitting moment. Out the door! Jim lewis stopped in an gave a speech. It had some emotion to it for him. What stood out to me was the feeling of being a part of something in Bend. Working at Hutch’s really helped me feel like a local and especially apart of the bike community. I got a lot of respect from other bikers or people who worked at other shops in town by working there. It made me reflect of how cool of a time period it was when I worked there. I worked there before I knew Jordan and while we lived together on Jacksonville. That was a highlight - when Jordan and I both worked a cool spots on galveston within walking distance from our house. Jackson and I would walk off leash to work. A lot of times I would ride a bike and he would run next to me down the alley way.

Below I’m going to add a few photos from that time period.
