SLUSHY

A Surprise snowstorm came, and Tater wasted no time getting her snow gear on. I recently picked up one of my favorite photo books that was the main inspiration for “that one time.” One of my favorite pages in the book has photos of running footprints next to ducks taking off in the water. It gave me the idea to try to recreate my version of it especially since ducks have been back in the pond. I saw the puddles and thought it could be the perfect spot to get a shot of Tatum running through it and leaving behind slushy footprints. The first shots I took didn’t have the right angle - I realized later that shooting from higher up is actually what will create the shot in mind. None of that mattered because Tatum’s joy of playing in the snow and puddles dissolved my quest for getting a specific shot and pulled me back into simply enjoying how fun and freeing it is to play in puddles. Tatum is awesome!
