I watched a video about this Chilean street photographer named Eduardo Ortiz that was pretty fun and highlighted his unique strength of incorporating layers in his photos. I’ve been thinking a lot about learning more with photos and thought I could try to use layers to tell a story like Ortiz does as way to progress. The next morning, the sun was beaming through the closet window while Jordan was exhausted and Tatum was ready to rock! After I got a shot of that Tatum came running into the room with as many books as she could carry, tossed them on the bed, repeated the process, and then climbed up into bed, commanding Jordan, “read dees books, please mommy”. I really like the different elements in the shot - you can see there is a massive pile of books, tatum is very engaged in reading them and then your eyes land on Jord - sleepily obliging Tatum’s request.
